I'm sorry I haven't updated this in a while...


Work has been very busy as of late, and the evenings have been far too short to do much of anything...

On top of all that, my car broke down, and I was forced to find another one. No, I couldn't fix it- for all you people who know cars, the problem is that a rod in the engine gave out. The only way to fix it would be to rebuild the engine, or get a new engine. Unfortunately, the cost of doing that is more than what the car is worth, so I'm forced to junk it. It's kinda sad, because I really liked that car, and it was a major pain in the behind to find and obtain another car. Especially since I don't really have a lot of money to purchase a car, even though now is he "best time" (supposedly) to buy a car. I did manage to find one, however, with the financial help of those near & dear to me...it's got 4 wheels an an engine that runs, so it's OK in my book. It may not make it across the country, but it'll take me to work and back, and that's all that matters. The fact that it happens to be a convertible is a nice bonus, though I really would like to swap the stock radio that's in the car for the one I have in my old car (it's only a cheap $100 radio, but it plays MP3s, and accepts my flash drive to play 'em).

The local county (un)fair is coming up soon. That will be fun. I didn't enter anything, even though a few people thought I should have done so. However, with all the crap that happened last time, I decided that I'd rather not. Maybe next year I'll consider it...maybe. Until then, I'll just enjoy the fair as I have before. Mayhap I'll look in the art section to see if there are any fractal works submitted, and if so, how well they did. Fractal art always seems to get "lost" among other digital art, and especially among picture art in general. Mayhap they don't think that a picture made from a computer program is worthy of notice...

Independence day is also coming up...yay (I guess). My boss told me that, since July 4 falls on a Saturday, and I already have Saturday off, I don't get any extra days off. It's a real bummer, especially since for everyone else I know at my work, if their day off is on Saturday, they get Friday, and if they already have Friday off too, they get Thursday. Sucks to be me, I guess. I'm sure that next year will be worse, since both Christmas and New Year's day both will fall on Saturday. But that's a long ways off, so I probably shouldn't concern myself about something a year and a half away, especially when I should be "living in the now", right?
